WebTech acquires Xeikon presses for digital label manufacturing

India-based label printing company WebTech Industries has acquired two Xeikon 3030 Digital Label Presses to complement its flexographic manufacturing process for pressure-sensitive and self-adhesive labels.

The company has acquired the presses through Chennai-based Monotech Systems. The new Xeikon presses will enable WebTech to meet the growing demand for short-run and variable data labels, especially in the pharmaceutical industry.

WebTech Director Amar Chhajed said that the labels manufactured with Xeikon presses have very high light fastness which form an important factor for pharmaceutical label printing and can handle short-run and variable data labels profitably.

The Xeikon 3030 Digital Label Press produces photorealistic graphics and pin-sharp security features and is ideal for producing all types of short-run labels and labels that require variable information, barcodes or other security features such as microprint.

It is also ideal for short to medium runs, just-in-time production and on-the-fly jobs. It can print on an unrivalled range of substrates without pre-coat, including various self-adhesive materials such as co-extruded films, Bopp, PVC and PET, paperboards, paper with weights ranging from 40 to 350gsm and transparent and opaque foils.

Besides, exceptional registration control and high-density coverage ensure production of the highest quality digital labels.
