US-based manufacturer of coding, printing and laser marking products Videojet Technologies has introduced the new Videojet 3020 laser coder for marking and coding applications in the consumer packaged goods and industrial products markets.
The new entry-level 10-Watt CO2 laser coder uses scribing laser technology and large marking fields to provide better mark quality on paper, cardboard, plastics and various other materials.
Videojet CO2 laser systems product manager Markus Vetter commenting on the new product said: "The Videojet 3020 laser coder meets the needs of customers with simple code requirements such as serial numbers, time, date and lot codes as well as many other code formats on food and beverage, pharmaceutical, personal care, cosmetics and industrial products."
The laser coder weighs just 7kg and can be integrated either as a stand-alone solution using the easily adjustable mobile stand or directly into the line with mounting brackets.
According to the company, the Videojet 3020 laser coder offers mark field sizes up to 126 x 87mm depending on the lens used to enable a wide range of codes and applications and provides clear, quality marks on both stationary and moving products, with scribing technology.
Formats including alpha numeric text, simplified Chinese fonts, Eastern and Western European language fonts, variable data including serial numbers, date, time, shift code, GS1 and ID matrix and bar codes, logos, symbols and graphical elements will be marked using the new laser coder.
