US-based rigid packaging provider TricorBraun has expanded the size of its design and engineering studio in Chicago.
The company will add professional staff to cope with increasing demand for its services.
TricorBraun chief creative officer Craig Sawicki said with the expansion, the speed with which its customers bring their products to market will be hastened.
"In many instances, a customer only has a rough idea of what a package should cost. We can take them from concept development, drawings and models, to manufacturing and filling," said Sawicki.
The studio will have a new video conferencing system, aimed to involve customers and manufacturers in the design and engineering process.
New modeling capabilities and other hardware have also been added said the company.
TricorBraun is a supplier of glass and plastic containers, closures, dispensers and tubes to packaging services, particularly in North America. It also maintains strategic supplier relationships in Europe.
