Tri-Star Packaging has signed an agreement with PacknWood, the UK subsidiary of a French company, to distribute PacknWood's eco-friendly food packaging concepts.
The four ranges including the Buckaty Collection, the Kray Collection, the Eco-Design Collection and the Bio & Chic Collection will be distributed by the packaging and disposables supplier Tri-Star in the UK.
The Buckaty Collection of round food-to-go containers is made from greaseproof recyclable board from natural sources and is suitable for deli foods.
According to Tri-Star, the Kray Collection, suitable for both hot and cold food, is a range of food-to-go boxes with a natural brown kraft look, made from recycled and recyclable greaseproof board.
PacknWood’s Eco-Design Collection is a selection of white disposable tableware made from Bagasse, or sugar cane pulp, a natural material, which is renewable, and 100% biodegradable and compostable.
The Bio & Chic Collection, which is also made from Bagasse has a white, flat, sleek design.
Tri-Star managing director Kevin Curran said, "For both companies, using eco-friendly materials to create packaging and tableware that perform at the highest level is the real deal – a passion even – and we’re delighted to have formalised this shared vision in our new partnership."
