US-based Tradex International, supplier of general purpose disposable gloves, has introduced new packaging for its polyethylene disposable aprons aimed at reducing plastic waste.
Poly aprons are typically individually packed in plastic bags. With Tradex’s new design, aprons are now bulked packed in quantities of 50 or 100 for individual dispensing from a recyclable cardboard package.
The company estimates the annual reduction in plastic packaging, if spread out, would cover the State of Texas. All of the company’s AMBITEX brand apron products will feature the new packaging henceforth.
Tradex International President and CEO Saji Daniel said the new packaging eliminates plastic packaging waste and symbolises their ongoing commitment to improving their impact on the environment.
