Somersault Snack in cooperation with the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is set to voluntarily recall about 712 packages of 1oz Somersault Pacific Sea Salt products over packaging issue.
The packages, which were distributed to Target Stores in six-count multi-packs, were inadvertently mispackaged.
Limited quantities of Somersault Santa Fe Salsa flavored product were accidentally commingled with Somersault Pacific Sea Salt flavored product in packages that are labeled as Somersault Pacific Sea Salt 1oz.
The commingling introduced another allergen milk to the Somersault Pacific Sea Salt 1oz packages, which is not listed on the packaging as either an ingredient or an allergen.
All of the affected products were distributed to Target Stores through their distribution centers in California, Ohio, Georgia, Kansas and South Carolina.
According to the company, people with allergy or severe sensitivity to milk will run the risk of an allergic reaction if they consume the affected products.
