Packaging design, development and manufacturing company Sirane has announced the expansion of its presence with the opening of a new operation in South Africa, which will operate out of Cape Town.
Sirane Southern Africa head Stacey Loader said the company’s products are expected to help revolutionize how the company packs its fresh produce in the country.
"From extensive shelf life benefits, to improving the taste and presentation of our food products, the initial response to Sirane’s products has been incredibly encouraging, and we are immensely excited with the future prospects of the Sirane Southern Africa and our business journey," Loader said.
The new operation will have dealt with all the region’s import regulations and will help make it easier for customers to order Sirane products.
Sirane also plans to open a similar operation in the Middle East, based in Dubai and a full warehousing and manufacturing facility in Antalya, Turkey.
The company specializes in areas including absorbency and ovenable/microwaveable products, compostable packaging, films, boards and pads and its key international markets include packaging for fruit and vegetables, meat and seafood.
