Sappi Fine Paper Europe and Swiss Karton + Papier (KAPAG) have established sales and marketing partnership in France.
As part of the deal, the companies will introduce Sappi’s bright white cellulose carton brands Algro Design and KAPAG’s Algro Duo in the French printing and packaging market.
In the spirit of ‘Total Brand Consistency’, both companies will enhance the product portfolio and service levels in the country that are in the premium printing and packaging sectors.
Sappi’s Algro Design, Algro Design Card and Algro Design Duo products weigh between 160g/m² to 400g/m², while Algro Duo versions from KAPAG weigh between 450g/m² to 710g/m².
Sappi Fine Paper Europe rigid packaging product group manager Lars Scheidweiler said the partnership will allow to expand Algro Design and Algro Duo product families in France.
"We are excited to be jointly bringing this message to brand owners, designers, agencies, printing companies, packaging converters and print finishers," Scheidweiler added.
Sappi noted that its Algro Design premium carton board is made by using virgin fibers and includes the ideal material to produce high-quality packaging and printed products.
KAPAG managing owner Alexander Meyer said, "We have been noticing increased market demand for a single premium product that is available in very low and very high grammages for a wide array of end uses."
KAPAG is specialized in laminating, trimming and finishing carton board and paper, while Sappi is the producer of coated fine paper used in premium magazines, catalogues, books and high-end print advertising.
