As part of co-packing agreement with Chambar Restaurant
Russell Brewing, a producer of craft beer in Western Canada, has said that it began shipping six pack bottles of Chambar Ale this week as part of its co-packing agreement with Chambar Restaurant to produce a Belgian style beer for the take home market.
Chambar Ale, which is co-crafted by Nico Schuermans, executive chef and owner of Chambar, and brewmaster Mark Simpson, uses a combination of European and Moroccan spices with a base recipe created from organic locally sourced malt and several variations of yeast strains. According to the company, Simpson’s decades of expertise and Schuerman’s Belgian pedigree has played a large role in the beer’s flavour profile.
The beer is now available in six pack bottles in Vancouver through select restaurants and boutique liquor retailers including namely Brewery Creek, Steamworks, Broadway Cold Beer & Wine Store, and Taylors Crossing.
Karri Schuermans, owner of Chambar Restaurant, said: It is exciting to be working with Russell, they are also a hardworking family business that are committed to producing a quality product.
It is a pleasure to embark on a partnership with people that are hedonists at heart, risk takers and have also taken on considerable growth in a short period of time. We look forward to a long prosperous relationship together!
