Food manufacturer in Serbia, Kompanija Takovo has selected RPC Bebo UK’s multi-layer Royale bowls to repack its range of ready meals, in a bid to address the growing demand for quality convenience foods in the Serbian market.
According to RPC, the new microwaveable bowls replace existing tin cans and provide a format that combines long ambient shelf life with maximum consumer convenience. The bowls can also be pan heated and the practical design allows the meal to be consumed directly from the container.
The handles of the container on either side provide ease of use during cooking and serving and the flanges ensure easy peelablity of the sealing film. The meals are filled and retorted in the bowls and the packs’ PP/EVOH/PP construction, EVOH layer provides a barrier against oxygen ingress, while delivering an extended shelf life of up to one year.
Kompanija Takovo executive sales manager Miloje Simovic said the new packs underline the company’s approach and its ability to respond quickly to changing demands from both the supermarkets and the end consumer.
"The Royale bowls combine aesthetics and functionality to deliver a quality packaging solution that matches the quality of the products," Simovic said.
