Robinson has developed tooling for a 300ml Tamper Evident container and lid for the new McVitie’s on-the-go range.
The pack is manufactured in PP and can be decorated with In-Mould or Post-Mould labels.
Pladis McVitie’s have been the first to take advantage of On The Go solution for their range of Mini Bites.
Robinson worked in partnership with McVitie’s in designing the pack, which will fit into a car cup holder,
It can also fit into the drawer on an aeroplane snack trolley, enabling the brand to target sales in various sectors.
Recently, Robinson collaborated with a company in the chilled desserts retail market, which offers a range of products including cheesecakes, trifles, tarts and cream cakes.
The company wanted a new packaging design for cheesecakes to prevent customers from damaging the cake while removing it from packaging.
Usually, the products are packed in thermoformed trays that need the user to push cheesecake up and out of the base of the pack.
Based on this idea, the company has developed a pack that offers a tear strip at the front that allows the user to unwrap it easily from the cheesecake. This claims to make sure that the product does not break, is mess-free and can be presented on a serving plate.
