UK-based Quantum Print & Packaging has produced cartons for Muddy Boots burgers whose products are currently being rolled out to select Waitrose stores. The folding-box board is of 500-micron, comprising three colours.
The founders of Muddy Boots burgers Miranda and Roland Ballard have appeared on the BBC’s High Street Dreams show with its products which has called on local design firm Brand Tonic to come up with a new style of packaging that fitted the brand’s USP and size, reports PackagingNews.
Brand Tonic creative director Simon Rumble said that the construction is based on a pizza box with a burger-shaped window and is put together, closed and sealed with a clear plastic tab. The burgers are individually shrink-wrapped.
“The pack has a home-made foody illustration style in keeping with Roland and Miranda’s vision of simple delicious home-made burgers made with the finest ingredients,” Rumble said.
Quantum sales manager Giles Foden said that cardboard packaging conveys value additions and brand message.
The burgers are currently being rolled out to ten Waitrose stores in the Midlands and on London’s Oxford Street.
