French extrusion company, Priplak has unveiled its new Supercristal+ polypropylene (PP) product, the clearest packaging grade.
The new Supercristal+ offers 35% weight saving compared with traditional plastics such as PVC and PET and is 100% recyclable. It also enables brands to save money, weight and waste on their packaging materials.
The PP has been developed using advanced technical solutions and its strength and design characteristics can also be used to reduce overall pack size; for instance by using the material as a wrap or sleeve.
Priplak marketing director Simon Lewis said Supercristal+ has a lower carbon footprint than many other plastics and is offered in an expanded range from 250 to 1200 microns. The grade is ideal for any clear packaging project and easy to print, cut/crease and glue.
Priplak is a subsidiary of the Creative Paper branch of ArjoWiggins and specialises in the production of polypropylene sheets, offering many embossings and colours.
