Palmetto Canning is expanding its existing 35,000ft² Bradenton facility in Manatee County, US, with the addition of 10,000ft² warehouse space to serve its growing, private-label food packaging service.
The expanded facility will provide additional space for Palmetto Canning’s private-label condiments and jellies.
The company currently transports finished private-label products to a leased warehouse space in Lakeland and has a 52,000ft² facility in Seffner that is close to capacity.
Palmetto Canning president Jonathan Greenlaw said, "Inexpensive outbound freight costs to the Northeast and Midwest, combined with an ample labor pool, allow us to continue growing our footprint in the Bradenton Area where the company was born."
Bradenton Area Economic Development president and chief executive officer Sharon Hillstrom said, "Originally known for making guava jelly, Palmetto Canning is a legacy business in the Bradenton Area that has continued to grow by adopting new technologies and diversifying its products and services."
