UK-based specialty plastic, fiber, foam and packaging products supplier Filtrona has announced that the company will be renamed Essentra with effect from 26 June 2013.
Essentra has been specifically selected in a bid to capture what each of the businesses of Filtrona manufactures and supplies. It is also considered that its new identity represents the company’s activities and products.
According to Filtrona, the Essentra brand will be adopted by each of the company’s businesses, representing a change from the existing situation.
The respective businesses are expected to implement the new identity with a view that the roll-out will be completed by the end of 2013.
Filtrona chief executive Colin Day said the company believes that Essentra encapsulates what the company does, is and aims to be.
"It is eight years to the day since Filtrona came into existence as a UK plc, yet we have never shared a common identity – neither internally nor externally," Day said.
