UK-based Packaging Automation has offered a new eclipse SL3 tray sealer to Osborne and Sons for packaging their strawberries.
Osborne and Sons, a small pack house based in Taunton, Somerset, turned to PA for a new eclipse SL3 tray sealer when they needed to increase their capacity to cope with the demand for their strawberries.
Osborne and Sons MD David Osborne said the machine is reliable, robust, and runs using no compressed air, the deciding factor to choose the machine from PA.
"Overall we’ve been very impressed by the level of support that PA has given us and their contribution to the overall project has been invaluable. Their service team have been brilliant, I feel like one of the team at PA," Osborne said.
The machine incorporates PA’s E-Seal technology, unlike the pneumatic/electric hybrid in the market, requires zero compressed air for full operation.
The machine is capable of sealing up to 45 packs per minute, which can reduce the end user’s running costs by up to 90%.
