Ossid, a Pro Mach brand, will introduce its 1500 series of weigh-price labelers designed to improve the productivity of a packaging line with flexible label placement in continuous motion of up to 120 units per minute.
The machines in the series are said to be suitable for weighing, pricing, and labeling packages from 12 to 20 inches in length as well as packages with contours such as poultry and ham.
With true type fonts and graphics up to 4 x 5 inches, the 1500 series can run both top and bottom labels in various sizes. It can also print 21 different bar code symbologies, including 2D and QR codes.
The machines are integrated with automatic print height and angle adjustment capabilities ranging from 0 to 90 degrees in 1-degree increments.
The 1500 series collects data for every package automatically in order to create real-time reports. It connects to business systems and allows automatic order processing and tracking, remote user training, off-site maintenance and software improvements.
According to Ossid, with the addition of a simple diverter/kickoff mechanism, the system can be set up as a check-weigher.
The company will exhibit its 1500 series of labelers at Pack Expo 2013 taking place from 23-25 September in Las Vegas.
