One Market Soup recalled due to infection fears

One Gun Ranch's One Market Soups sold in 16oz. glass jars with metal lids have been recalled by California Department of Public Health (CDPH) on suspicion of containing Clostridium botulinum, which might cause botulism.

The soups were sold only at Pacific Palisades Farmers Market.

Santa Barbara’s Organic Soup Kitchen varieties under the Organic Soup Kitchen label packaged in one-quart glass jars sold at the Studio City Farmers Market and Calabasas Farmers Market also pose the same danger.

Though no reports of infection have been confirmed, the step has been taken as a precautionary measure, as ingestion of botulinum toxin due to improperly processed canned foods is hazadous to health.

CDPH has issued an alert against consuming these soups.
