Oberto Brands launches new packaging and branding for Jerky line

US-based meat snacks maker Oberto Brands has launched new packaging and branding for its Oh Boy! Oberto All Natural Jerky line.

The line has been updated with new packaging that features a refreshed logo and a new tag line ‘Eat Excellent. Be Excellent.’

From Oberto jerky line, ‘Oh Boy!’ has been removed and the logo reads ‘Oberto’ in black text, accented by the long-standing brand colors red and green.

According to the company, the packaging features a clean white matte bag emblazoned with a prominent stylized ‘O’ that will become a staple symbol of the brand’s new identity.

The bag’s oversized ‘O’ features black and white sports photography within its borders, capturing all manners of active endeavors from running to rock climbing.

Oberto Brands’ All Natural Jerky line with new logo and packaging will roll out to shelves in October 2013 and will be seen across the US by the end of 2013.

The Oberto Meat Sticks will continue to use the existing ‘Oh Boy! Oberto’ name, logo and packaging, the company said.

Oberto Brands vice president of marketing Greg Yahn said that new packaging and branding for its core jerky line is an important step for Oberto.

"The change began in 2012 when we overhauled our jerky recipe to be All Natural," added Yahn.

The company’s revamped logo and new packaging has been designed by a boutique Midwestern creative agency Hanson Dodge.
