Flexible packaging firm Nordenia, based in Germany, has doubled its space with the addition of Hubble Creek plant with a gross investment of EUR3.5m, with 4-6 additional bag lines.
The Hubble Creek plant would be the second US facility of the firm, after the Indian Creek, which is also located at Missouri.
Nordenia International chairman and CEO Ralph Landwehr said the expansion of the American site is pivotal to their strategy.
"The new North American plant will enable us to increase our flexibility with regard to our customers and will strengthen our competitive position," added Landwehr.
According to the firm, the current strategy revolves around North America, Asia and Eastern Europe.
Nordenia Group makes products like bags with four sealed edges, stand-up pouches and NorDiBag line of flexible packaging.
