New Vision creates packaging for Kinnerton Easter product range

Packaging design and sourcing company New Vision has created a new packaging solution for the UK-based Kinnerton Confectionery’s Easter product, which will be stocked in retailers nationwide.

The product contains a series of small foil wrapped eggs, besides a toy that is character driven. The range is made up of two packages Hello Kitty and Power Rangers, themed differently.

New Vision has produced a stick pack design, which is made entirely of clear PET plastic, allowing the consumer to view the contents inside the pack. Use of plastic as the sole material allows for a new twist-top section to be built in.

The new packaging solution houses the toy, and allows the product’s non-edible element to be kept separate from the eggs below.

New Vision Packaging managing director Stephen Shortland said the stick pack is made from a single plastic sheet, with various cuts in specific locations, allowing for the twist-top to be simply folded into place.

"We were presented with a challenging brief from the client, and one that we believe we have fulfilled with a practical packaging solution," Shortland said.
