Global brewer Molson Coors has launched its Corona Extra Mexican beer in new 710ml bottles, which will be available in the off-trade from 1 May 2012.
Molson Coors Corona senior brand manager Darius Burrows said the beer is all about sociability and getting together with friends and the new serve makes that even easier at home.
"We’ve launched ahead of the crucial summer period, when we’re confident people will be pouring their friends a Corona Extra as they enjoy barbecues, picnics and al fresco dining in the sun," Burrows added.
The company also plans to launch a marketing campaign for the Corona Extra at the end of May 2012.
According to Molson Coors, the new campaign, as well as the sharing bottle launch is part of a heavyweight marketing investment by brand owner Grupo Modelo and UK distributor, Molson Coors.
