US-based Mesa Laboratories has acquired the SureTorque line of bottle cap torque testing instruments from ST Acquisitions.
The test instruments manufacturer, under the terms of the deal, purchased all of the assets of ST Acquisitions’ business involving the design, manufacturing, sales and service of its line of bottle cap torque testing instrumentation.
According to Mesa, the acquisition is expected to increase its cash flow and be mildly accretive to earnings per share for the current year ending 31 March 2014.
Mesa Laboratories president and CEO John Sullivan said the SureTorque products are widely used in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries for quality control of bottling processes.
"The SureTorque bottle cap testers are a great addition to our line of instrumentation products," Sullivan added.
SureTorque designs and produces automated bottle cap torque testing instruments. The company’s line of instruments includes variations ranging from semi-automated, lower cost versions up to fully automated, in-line instruments.
