Mauser’s reconditioning subsidiary NCG has acquired 51% of the stake in Container Solutions South Africa (CSSA) with effective from 29 June 2012.
The acquisition allows Mauser to enter the South African market and further implement its strategy to support customers worldwide with sustainable services.
CSSA managing director and shareholder Steaphan Mac Donald said the company is entering into a new phase with a global partner such as Mauser NCG.
"Embracing NCG global best practice in the reconditioning of industrial packaging significantly enhances our ability to exceed our growing customer requirements and expectations," Donald added.
According to Mauser, the new joint venture increases the ability of CSSA to tailor solutions to its customer’s needs, while delivering value through extending the life cycle of industrial packaging.
IBC reconditioner CSSA has operations in Johannesburg and Durban and is a founding member of the South African Industrial Container Reconditioners Association.
