Linpac Packaging, a UK-based provider of multi-material packaging solutions, has expanded its new Freshware range for sweet and savory food markets.
The Freshware range now includes a hinged box style Vertiwrap made from recycled polyethylene terephthalate (rPET) for wraps and tortillas.
According to the company, Vertiwrap is designed to retain freshness while providing maximum protection to food.
The Freshware range also includes a range of new paper bags in various sizes that allow shops and bakeries to keep bakery items such as sandwiches, savory snacks, bread and pastry-based foods fresh and crispy.
Offered with or without windows, the paper bags are available as pre-made or on the reel for use with in-house automatic bagging machinery.
Linpac Packaging vice president Joanna Stephenson said that the company produces its Freshware range with between 50% and 95% post consumer recyclate to reduce the carbon footprint of its food products.
"These latest additions to the Freshware family address the needs of the sweet and savoury food to go sector and sit alongside our meal boxes, containers, pots and tubs which are ideal for salad items, sauces and deli products," Stephenson added.
