US-based Landaal Packaging Systems and Tropical Traditions inked a pact to deliver sustainable shipping option for grass fed meat and dairy products.
Landaal Packaging Systems Sales and Operations Planning Manager Terry Choate said the Tropical Traditions is one of many clients who are making the transition into a more sustainable packaging option.
Tropical Traditions Business Development Director Jon Leever said Landaal was able to provide them with an excellent replacement, a packaging foam product that is biodegradable, compostable, environmentally-friendly which is comparable to polystyrene packaging.
"The thermal protection is comparable to polystyrene packaging. Our customers have been very pleased with this environmentally-friendly packaging," said Lever.
Landaal Packaging Systems is a family owned packaging company based in Burton, Michigan.
The company has partnered with KTM industries, the manufacturer of Green Cell Foam to offer sustainable cold chain shippers since 2009.
Tropical Traditions is an organic foods company headquartered in Wisconsin.
