KBA has installed its RAPIDA 145 Large Format press at UK-based fast food packaging company St Neots Packaging.
The RAPIDA 145 six-color unit has a coater in the 1060 x 1450mm format and is said to be the packaging company’s first KBA investment. It has a production speed of 17,000sph.
According to KBA, the Large Format RAPIDA features advanced systems for on-press color and quality control, LAB measurement systems, thick stock options for packaging print and semi-automatic plate changing, automated self-adjusting sheet in-feed system.
KBA sales director – sheetfed presses Chris Scully said some manufacturers have a piecemeal approach, often changing a model name but little else.
"In fact, all of KBA’s substantive elements are new technology shared across the models. This commonality of operation underpins KBA’s commitment to the long-term development of higher performance market-responsive presses," Scully added.
