Germany-based equipment maker Kama has unveiled the ProCut 53 F, a flat-bed finishing diecutter for size B3 sheets.
The ProCut 53 F machine has been developed for production of high quality folding cartons with additional visual and tactile features in the digital printing market.
The machine finishes the sheets printed on the HP Indigo 7500 with ‘pinpoint accuracy’, with combined hotfoil stamping and embossing. The equipment applies cold embossing and Braille embossing, as well as diecutting and creasing the printed packaging blanks.
The device allows changeover from hotfoil stamping to cutting and creasing in just 10 minute.
In hotfoil stamping, the output is up to 4,500 sheets/hour, while it can handle up to 6,000 sheets/hour for diecutting and creasing. The compact finishing unit is compatible with the HP Indigo 7500 and Indigo 5500 digital presses, but also can process conventionally printed sheets up to 530 x 400mm.
