Japanese candy hits US in new packaging

Morinaga America, marketer and distributer channel for a Hi-Chew Japanese candy in the US, is launching the candy in new packaging.

The new designs emphasises on the candy’s logo, colors and fresh fruit, according to Packaging Digest.

The color scheme of each flavor was modified, new fruit images were photographed and all the industry required labeling was edited by a design team from Saxton|Horne.

Morinaga America president and CEO Toshiya Yasuda said that repositioning Hi-Chew as a lifestyle brand entailed making many changes to the brand image.
