ICE to showcase feature-packed labeller at Label & Print 2018 event

Interactive Coding Equipment (ICE) is set to showcase its new Vulcan Print and Apply Labeller at the upcoming Label and Print 2018 event to be held in Birmingham in the UK.

The event will be held between 28 February and 1 March. ICE’s Vulcan is claimed to be the first of its type which can print and directly apply the label to a pack, both traded unit boxes and shrinkwrap packs.

The process is done in a continuous motion without the need for tamp applicator or compressed air. The new labeller can also print at the speed of the line without missing a pack.

The ICE Vulcan offers 80% fewer wear parts for reduced maintenance needs.

It also provides electronic label supply that automatically adjusts and maintains tension, and clutchless thermal transfer ribbon drive.

The electronic label supply can automatically adjust and maintain tension and it has a clutchless thermal transfer ribbon drive.

The machine has been designed to be compact and with a small footprint, so that it can easily fit into the current packaging lines easily.

Last November, the company opened additional facilities at its Nottingham headquarters with a view to extend its customer support services.

The facilities feature an extended Demonstration Room, new Training Room and Print Sample Laboratory. These facilities enable customers to see ICE coding equipment for themselves and test their products.

They also help customers in make fully informed decisions about the most appropriate machine for a particular coding requirement.

The Demonstration Room has also been extended to accommodate the company’s growing range of equipment. The company launched the next generation Zodiac Hawk thermal transfer overprinter (TTO), which can monitor and report the quality of each code that has been produced.
