HIG Europe has completed the simultaneous acquisitions of Belgium-based ARMetallizing (ARM) from Ackermans & van Haaren and the US-based Vacumet Paper from Scholle.

Both the companies manufacture metallized paper.

With revenues more than €120m, the group will supply clients globally from three manufacturing facilities in Belgium, Italy and the US.

According to HIG Europe, the European arm of global private equity firm HIG Capital, the transaction represents the company 21st new European investment since the beginning of 2011.

The current portfolio of HIG Capital includes more than 80 companies with combined revenues in excess of £8bn.
