US-based Heinz, a global food products company, has revamped the look of the range of its products by replacing its conventional plastic HP bottles to PET. The new packaging design aims to focus on the versatility of their HP products, thereby increasing its market potential.
Heinz said the new PET bottles were recyclable with a ‘glass-like clarity’ and have lift-and-peel seals.
Heinz has used new green labels for the salt and sugar version and has renamed the HP Steak Sauce to HP Pepper. Heatmoters are indicated on the Hot Sauce to show the variations.
Heinz senior brand manager Jeanette Moore said the new packaging still retains all the previous shopper cues and association with the Houses of Parliament, but the images are bolder and sharper creating a more impactful and modern pack that resonates with younger children.
As reported by PackagingNews, the brown-sauce category is said to be worth £51m of which HP has the lion’s share with a value of £37m. The variants come with a serving suggestion. HP is the third in a number of Heinz packaging developments in the past two months.
