Exopack has formed a new organization, Coveris, which integrates five packaging companies in North America and Europe.
Coveris is claimed to be the sixth largest global plastics packaging company generating revenues of over $2.5bn from operations in 21 countries.
The new organization is an affiliated portfolio company of Sun Capital Partners and manufactures flexible and rigid plastic, paper packaging and advanced coatings.
Exopack chief executive officer Jack Knott said the rebranding announcement marks an important milestone for the company, signifying the integration of five packaging companies into a global industry leader.
"More than a global business, COVERIS is a ‘multi-local’ business partner, close to our customers in many regions and markets around the world," Knott added.
Following the branding, Coveris has implemented new organizational structure to improve delivery of service to global customers as well as the company’s investment in technologies and people.
