Flexible die specialist Electro Optic has announced the opening of a second production plant in Alpharetta, Georgia, US, which joins production sites in Großmehring, Germany; Atlanta, US; and Mumbai, India that are already existing.
For flexible die production, the plant consists of CNC-controlled die sharpening and the company’s back grinding process. It will manufacture full line of flexible dies including gold line, gold line special and dura line special.
Electro Optic US president Markus Marfurt said the growing demand for quality flexible dies required to satisfy the label manufacturers’ demands has seen a constant growth in business volume, labelsandlabeling.com reported.
‘Shorter distances and shipment times along with Electro Optic’s superior customer support are playing an important role in this growth," Marfurt said.
The company will address the requirements pertaining to cutting abrasive materials such as thermal paper, recycled papers and cardboard and thin PET and PP liners.
