Edale and AB Graphic International have launched a new 762mm wide finishing system Digicon 3000, which enables printers to convert pressure sensitive labels and flexible packaging printed on the HP Indigo 20000 Digital Press.
Edale managing director James Boughton said together the companies have been able to create a product that benefits from the respective technology strengths of the companies.
"As a result the Digicon 3000 is packed with innovations that will serve to enhance and broaden the applications possible in mid web digital label and packaging printing," Boughton added.
The new press has the capability to digitally produce the vast majority of label and flexible packaging applications and is expected to transform the film and label converting market.
According to Edale, the press also supports a 762mm wide roll with up to 1,118mm repeat length and ensures an easy fit into existing production lines.
