eCorrugated, UK box maker, is celebrating its first birthday by investing £1m to double the capacity at its Ellesmere Port site.
Founded in October 2011, the ‘Packaging Park’ model business was successful , establishing itself 200m from the Prowell sheet feeder, according to packagingeurope.com.
eCorrugated director Andrew Carver said their aim is to become the UK’s largest small box manufacturer with this investment, as they have set their sights on more than tripling turnover by 2014.
"This new investment will double capacity by adding a second high speed production line, enabling us to continue to service the trade sector with a 48-96 hour lead-time," Carver said.
The model allowed eCorrugated to minimize transport costs, as well as its carbon footprint.
