Sustainable packaging solutions manufacturer Ecologic Brands has announced the opening of its first production facility in Manteca, California, US.
The 60,000ft² facility will enable the company to increase the production volume of its molded fiber bottles (eco.bottles) line from 6 to 60 million units annually.
Ecologic Brands founder & CEO Julie Corbett said, "The decision to open the facility in Manteca was to better service the increasing demand for our sustainable products."
The company selected Manteca location for its facility as it is close to partners who provide corrugated material, which is later on up-cycled into eco.bottles.
According to Ecologic, the operational setup will allow it to minimize cost, besides improving quality as well as production processes consistency.
In the US and Canada, Ecologic’s eco.bottles are used by the Seventh Generation 4X concentrated laundry detergent in two fragrances and a baby detergent, Bodylogix protein powder in five flavors, and Safeway store-branded laundry detergent in three fragrances.
The company also started shipping US-made cardboard bottles to brands in Australia, Korea, and Mexico, recently.
