DeCio Pasta has met new FDA labeling requirements for its new line of gluten free pasta.
The company’s initial gluten-free pasta line comprises seven new products which has several Fettuccine, Linguini and Orzo.
The labeling products should have gluten-free at 20 ppm or less, and defines the use of ingredients and labeling terms according to the FDA rules.
The FDA standard is reliable with the Codex Alimentarius labeling guidelines set by the World Health Organization.
DeCio Pasta CEO and Nationally Acclaimed chef Scott Morrison said: "We didn’t even register on the tests because 5 ppm is the limit of the current tests! Not only do we want to provide a product that those with Celiac Disease can eat, but one they crave."
