Daio Paper, Japan’s leading tissue manufacturer, has ordered from Voith the state-of-the-art tissue production technology.
With the new XcelLine tissue machine Daio Paper aims to meet the growing demand for tissue papers in Japan by producing approximately 54,000 metric tons/year of high-quality facial tissues, bathroom tissues, and kitchen papers made from virgin fibers.
The scope of supply includes innovative technologies from Voith for the production of high-quality tissue papers with a reduced use of natural resources. Some of the key technologies are the MasterJet Pro T headbox, CrescentFormer, the NipcoFlex T shoe press, steel Yankee dryer cylinder with deckle insulation, high-efficiency gas fire hood, MasterReel with automatic core shaft return, and full automation for machine operation control: MCS, DCS and QCS. This new environmentally friendly production line will help to achieve Daio Paper’s sustainable growth path.

Daio Paper, founded in 1943, produces approximately 3 million metric tons/year of different paper grades including paperboards, wrapping papers, linerboards, tissue papers, cardboard papers and pulp.
