Craig & Parsons installs fourth Edale Beta machine

Producer of printed labels Craig and Parsons have purchased fourth Edale Beta 330mm wide press, in a bid to cope with their increased workload.

Kent-based Craig & Parsons production manager Stephen Craig said this is the first press that the company opted for water based and UV drying as it is producing more long run printed labels.

"We have already seen a dramatic increase in our productivity due to the decrease in down time in wash ups and cleaning of plates on the run. We find the Beta a great press because of its ability to be adapted and modified to suit any new enquiries that come in," added Craig.

UK-based Edale Beta, which is a manufacturer of web-fed flexo printing presses and converting equipment, said the Beta has the capacity to incorporate 14 print stations and three converting stations, with the modular design making upgrades easier and allowing for a range of additional options.
