Cortec has launched its new Vapor phase Corrosion Inhibitors (VpCI)-148 paper, a new grease resistant, corrosion inhibiting paper, which prevents package contamination. The environmentally friendly paper comprises biobased materials.
VpCI-148 provides resistance to oils and solvents and fights corrosion at the molecular level. It also provides protection with corrosion inhibiting vapors that condense onto the surface of the products.
According to the vapor phase corrosion inhibitors manufacturer, the paper is fully recyclable and repulpable. It is made from natural kraft paper.
The fluorochemical free product is safer alternative to traditional grease resistant papers and eliminates the need to list a variety of papers for each of the metals needed to protect.
VpCI-148 paper, which is simple to use, requires no surface preparation or cleaning. It also protects ferrous and non-ferrous metals, dry or oiled, such as carbon, stainless and galvanized steel, cast iron, copper, solder, aluminum alloys and brass.
Free of nitrites, phosphates, silicones, chromates, and other heavy metals, the product conforms to NACE Standards TM0208-2008, RP0487-2000, military specification MIL-P-3420, TAPPI-410 Standard.
