Cortec has invested in its Cortec Coated Products (CCP), Eau Claire, Wisconsin, US facility equipment to meet the demand for larger paper widths and increase production capacity.
The $750,000 investment in CCP’s equipment will enable the company to be able to coat, print, and convert from 100" (2.5m) wide, 70" (1.8m) rolls with speeds of 1,500′ (500m) per minute.
The unwind dancer is set to increase web control during acceleration and deceleration. The addition of drum suction roll will enable the company to further control and maintain the web for coating application and stability.
