Aluminum strip and sheets supplier Constellium is at the helm of a pan-European promotion campaign 'Aluminium Closures -Turn 360°', along with the European manufacturers of aluminum closures, through the European Aluminium Foil Association (EAFA).
The campaign, which is aimed to increase awareness among public about aluminum closures as a more efficient and economic alternative to other closure systems, shows many benefits offered by the closures in areas such as taste and quality, sustainability and recycling, convenience, technology, cost efficiency and design.
Constellium sales & marketing director – Aluminium Rigid Packaging Raphael Thevenin said wine makers are increasingly recognizing the advantages of having a screw on aluminum closure.
"This is the best solution for wine, spirits, water and other types of products such as olive oils," Thevenin said.
Through a multilingual website designed to appeal to decision makers particularly in the wine sector, the campaign has been rolled-out, providing extensive information on the various benefits of aluminum use in closures.
