ColorMatrix to open new facility in South Africa

Global specialized polymer materials provider PolyOne’s subsidiary ColorMatrix has announced plans to open a new facility in the Montague Gardens industrial precinct in Cape Town, South Africa.

The new facility, expected to open in August 2012 will support customers throughout Africa and will provide services including sales, technical support and an on-site color laboratory for color development.

According to PolyOne, the operation will initially focus on ColorMatrix products and services and will also concentrate to intensify support for customers manufacturing products such as PET containers for the beverage and personal care markets.

ColorMatrix managing director for Europe, Middle East and African operations William Ravenna said opening of the new facility in Cape Town will provide the company with a customer-focused presence in the region.

"ColorMatrix is dedicated to helping our customers grow and win by advancing the performance and value of polymer-based goods globally," Ravenna added.
