Poland-based Can-Pack has bagged a contract from a brewer in UK, Wells and Young’s, to produce 440ml and 500ml cans.
Wells and Young’s, the brewer behind brands such as Wells Bombardier Beer and Courage Directors said it will fill the cans for itself and the aluminium can serves as a key format for the future development of its ale brands.
Wells and Young’s technical director Jim Robertson said they continue to work with Can-Pack and see their advanced decoration capability as a key attribute in presenting brands such as Bombardier and Directors in a traditional market.
Can-Pack UK managing director Philip Fisher said the company has the capability to deliver a can with quality and print definition with their production process.
Can-Pack, which is focused on the beer market, already supplies aluminium cans to international brewers such as Heineken, reports packagingnews.co.uk.
