Brazilian petrochemical company Braskem has joined the USP's Center for Innovation in Logistics Systems Engineering (CISLog) of the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo.
According to Braskem, the partnership will enable it to exchange knowledge and experiences to support the adoption of innovations and the development of plastics solutions, which can be applied in the logistics chain, especially in the area of packaging, transport and storage.
The company joined the center through the strategic partnerships program, which is said to be the main port of entry for the companies working with CISLog.
Braskem commercial director Marco Antonio Cione said, "Braskem is always seeking better development and research routes and to better qualify its employees to foster the development of products that meet the market’s needs."
The company, through the support of the center, will gain access to research, strategic events for discussions proposed by it.
It will also get access to technical consultations, academic support, consultation of reference material in the field of logistics, access to the results of the research conducted as well as other initiatives to promote knowledge exchange.
