Bosch has renamed the Eisai Machinery companies as Bosch Inspection Technology in Germany, China and North America and Bosch Packaging Technology KK in Japan, and Eisai Machinery, its Japanese subsidiary, became a part of Bosch Packaging Technology.
According to Bosch, the merger is set to bolster the company’s position in the Japanese market.
Bosch Packaging Technology currently runs offices in Tokyo and Osaka and production sites in Funabashi and Honjo, as a result of the incorporation.
Bosch Packaging Technology in Japan president Joachim Baczewski said the company makes use of the existing synergies by bundling its competencies and consolidating its portfolios.
"The renaming underlines our strategy of offering highest inspection technology competence from one source," Baczewski said.
According to Bosch, inspection technology is used in the area of liquid pharmaceuticals, for instance with ampoules, pre-filled syringes or vials, as well as in the production of solid pharmaceuticals such as tablets.
