Glass manufacturer Beatson Clark has provided a new lightweighted jar for UK-based speciality coffee roaster Little’s range of flavored instant coffees. The bespoke, low-cost jar is lighter and offers cost and environmental benefits.
Little’s has been working with European independent glass packaging company Rawlings to guide them through the jar manufacturing process and Beatson Clark provided the solution.
Beatson Clark marketing manager Charlotte Taylor said the lead time from initial enquiry to production was just four months and it has been a quick turnaround.
"It was essential that we were able to guarantee continuity of supply so we have worked very closely with Little’s, responded very quickly and tried to be as flexible as possible in order to produce the jars on time," Taylor added.
Beatson Clark, which has a production capacity of about 496 million units or 88,000t provides glass packaging solutions for niche brands in the food, drink and pharmaceutical markets worldwide.
