Bain Capital strikes deal to buy CCC

Consolidated Container Company, a developer and manufacturer of rigid plastic packaging solutions in North America, has been acquired by Bain Capital Partners for approximately $800m.

Consolidated Container Company, previously owned by Vestar Capital Partners, specializes in customized mid- and short-run packaging solutions serving a diverse customer base in the dairy, water, beverage, food, household chemical, automotive, and industrial chemical markets.

According to the firm, it operates 59 manufacturing facilities through 2,100 employees who work towards offering cost-effective packaging solutions to a wide range of markets.

Consoliated Container Company CEO Jeffrey Greene looked forward to expansion and growth through partnership with Bain Capital.

"We look forward to working with Bain Capital to increase value to our customers and deepen our strong customer relationships through new product offerings, development of our technology platforms and increasing our geographic presence to meet their marketplace needs." added Greene.

Citigroup and RBC Capital Markets Corp were the advisors to Bain Capital, while Consolidated Container Company consulted Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Barclays for the transaction.
