ATC donates sealing machines to Dallas Lighthouse for blister packaging

US-based ATC Logistics & Electronics (ATCLE), a subsidiary of ATC Technology Corporation (ATC) has donated seven sonic sealing machines to the Dallas Lighthouse for the Blind in North Texas.

The sealers use vibration instead of heat to seal plastic blister packaging in manufactured goods and are an ideal match for the needs of Dallas Lighthouse for the Blind.

Four of the machines came directly from ATCLE and the additional three machines have been donated by a client of ATCLE.

The new sealing machines are worth about $0.1m collectively. Each piece of equipment will be retrofitted to make it operable with two hands for optimum safety and will be put into service in September 2010 when the Dallas Lighthouse for the Blind begins manufacturing a new product for the US military.

ATCLE specialises in forward logistics, reverse logistics, asset recovery, test & repair, kitting & packaging.
